Meet Dawn Jamrog

This is Dawn Jamrog’s third year working in the Sigma Tau Delta Central Office, and it has been wonderful! She is a huge Chicago Cubs fan and loves photography, music, and reading. Growing up she was always begging for a new book every time they went to the store. Her love of reading has continued as an adult. She doesn’t know how many times she has stayed up the whole night just to finish a book she couldn’t put down. As a mom, Dawn hopes her children have the same love of reading that she does.

1. My favorite movie is A Walk To Remember.
   
2. I never leave the house without my camera.
3. If I had to eat one food for the rest of my life, it would be pizza! So many different toppings to choose from!
4. Growing up, I was sure I would be a Mom.
5. I know every word to the song “Funky, Funky Christmas,” by New Kids on the Block.
6. The best gift I’ve ever received was a ring from my Grandma.
7. My nickname in high school was Ding Dawng.
8. If you find me in the kitchen, I’m typically whipping up some crazy new recipe I found online.
9. I’m more of a reader.
10. The best paper title I ever created was “Angels Among Us.”
11. The literary place I’d most like to visit is Hannibal, MO.
12. My dream job is owning my own photography/digital arts company.
13. An author I truly admire is James Patterson.
14. My go-to children’s book is Ann Likes Red, by Dorothy Seymour. This was a book that was passed down from cousin to cousin in my family..
15. The destination at the top of my travel bucket list is Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort in Finland.
16. My favorite part of working for Sigma Tau Delta is being part of encouraging an interest in writing and literature. My daughter, a freshman in high school, wants to be an English teacher. I hope one day she will be a part of Sigma Tau Delta as well.
17. The last book I read was Teammate: My Journey in Baseball and a World Series for the Ages, by David Ross.
18. My favorite series is Nancy Drew, by Carolyn Keene. While I haven’t read one in a long while, this is what started my love of reading.
19. My favorite place to buy books is Amazon or Barnes & Noble.
20. In 10 years, I’m betting that the English major will be even more important than ever, as we work in an increasingly global community.
21. My first job was as a Cashier at Osco.
22. The last book I bought was Financial Peace University, by Dave Ramsey but I have not yet read it.
23. The celebrity I’d most like to spend a day with is Blake Shelton.
24. If I could move anywhere in the world, I’d live somewhere up north, in a log cabin on a lake!
