Meet Charlotte Beale

Charlotte Beale is the Associate Student Representative for the Far Western Region of Sigma Tau Delta, as well as the president of the Alpha Pi Epsilon Chapter at Utah Tech University. They are currently in their senior year and are working towards an emphasis in English Literature and a minor in Social Justice. They love to creatively express themselves through dyeing their hair and have a life goal of reading Stephen King’s novels in chronological order.

  1. I chose to become an English Major because reading and analyzing literature is my favorite thing to do. My classes and schoolwork give me a great outlet to explore the things I love.
  2. My favorite part of being an English Major is being part of the community. Connecting with students and faculty who have the same interests as me is very fulfilling.
  3. The last book I read was Tenth of December by George Saunders.A copy of Tenth of December with a cat.
  4. My favorite book is Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid.
  5. A book character I identify with is Robin from Babel by R.F. Kuang. I really identify with his love for reading and studying, as well as his curiosity about the world.
  6. The last book I bought was Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, but I have not read it yet.
  7. My favorite book to series adaptation is The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins.
  8. I’m more of a reader than a writer.
  9. My favorite style of writing is narrative prose fiction.
  10. My go-to children’s book is The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupérey.
  11. My favorite childhood memory is spending a few weeks every summer in a cabin in rural Idaho with my mother’s family.
  12. Growing up, I was sure I would be a professional musician.
  13. My first job was creating activities for children at a natural history museum.

  16. The destination at the top of my travel bucket list is Seoul, South Korea.

  18. If I could move anywhere in the world, I’d live in New Zealand.
  19. If I was stranded on a desert island, the three things I would bring with me are the longest book I could find, a jacket, and an acoustic guitar.
  20. The one song I could listen to on repeat is American Teenager” by Ethel Cain.
  21. The best gift I ever received was a pair of Doc Martens boots.
  22. The best gift I’ve ever given is a vintage band tour shirt. My dad used to have one similar, but he wore it out. I was able to scour eBay and find him a new one.
  23. If you find me in the kitchen, I’m typically whipping up ramen. I’m still figuring out the whole “cooking” thing.
  24. If I could try any food from a book or series, it would be the chocolate cake from Matilda by Roald Dahl.
  25. The author (dead or alive) I’d most like to spend a day with is V.E. Schwab.
