Meet Zach Brady

Serving as the Student Representative for the Far Western Region, Zach Brady is a 5th-year senior at Utah State University, majoring in English with a minor in Chemistry. He is currently studying for the MCAT with hopes of becoming both a doctor and writer some day. He also loves writing and producing music in his home studio!

  1. I chose to become an English Major because I love creative writing and wanted more opportunities to write!
  2. My favorite part of being an English Major is my composition courses.
  3. The last book I read was The Three-Body Problem by Liu Cixin.
  4. My favorite book is When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi.
  5. A character I identify with is Paul from When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi.
  6. The last book I bought was Sister Saints: Mormon Women since the End of Polygamy by Colleen McDannell, but I have not read it yet.
  7. My favorite book to movie adaptation is The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins.
  8. I’m more of a writer.
  9. My favorite style of writing is creative nonfiction.
  10. My go-to children’s book is The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein.
  11. My favorite childhood memory is watching the The Polar Express on Christmas Eve night.
  12. Growing up, I was sure I would be a doctor.
  13. My first job was as a cashier and a cook.
  14. My dream job is doctor and author/musician.
  15. I like to spend my free time running, hiking, and playing the guitar!
  16. The destination at the top of my travel bucket list is hiking the Himalayas in Nepal.
  17. The literary place I’d most like to visit is Neverland from Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie.
  18. If I could move anywhere in the world, I’d live in Budapest.

  20. The one song I could listen to on repeat is The View between Villages” by Noah Kahan.
  21. The best gift I ever received was a guitar capo with my name on it .
  22. The best gift I’ve ever given is concert tickets.
  23. If you find me in the kitchen, I’m typically whipping up my world-famous breakfast burrito.
  24. If I could try any food from a book or series, it would be any of the crazy candy from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl.
  25. The author (dead or alive) I’d most like to spend a day with is Colleen McDannell.
