William Saccavino is an alum of the University of North Georgia with his bachelor’s degree in English and Linguistics. During his undergrad years, he served as his chapter’s secretary, and he is currently serving as a temporary alumni representative. In the upcoming fall 2025 semester, he expects to start his MA in linguistics. He has four cats and a white German shepherd who thinks she’s a cat too.
- I chose to become an English Major because I fell in love with English grammar (yes, really).
- My favorite part of being an English Major is the community! I simply adore getting to meet another English major in the wild.
- The last book I read was Tender is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica; a quick reread before presenting on it at the convention!
- My favorite book is Lord of the Rings (or anything Middle-Earth related; The Hobbit, The Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales of Númenor and Middle-Earth) by J.R.R. Tolkien.
- A book character I identify with is Legolas from Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien.
- The last book I bought was Pet Sematary by Stephen King, but I have not read it yet.
- My favorite book to movie adaptation is Peter Jackson’s adaptation of the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

- My go-to children’s book is How to Train Your Dragon, by Cressida Cowell; that entire series is heavily what got me into reading!
- My favorite childhood memory is playing in a makeshift waterpark (lots of sprinklers and kiddie pools) at my grandparents’ house, then going inside to eat ice cream.
