- I chose to become an English Major because I’ve always loved books and their ability to impact the way others see the world.
- My favorite part of being an English Major is getting to be a part of a community of people who care about literature and can delve into it together.
- The last book I read was The General Epistle of St James by James.
- My favorite book is A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.
- A book character I identify with is Beatrice (Much Ado About Nothing, William Shakespeare).
- The last book I bought was Orgullo y Prejuicio (Spanish translation of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen), but I have not yet read it.
- My favorite book to movie adaptation is The Hunger Games series.
- I’m more of a reader than a writer.
- My favorite style of writing is easy to read while still conveying deep meaning.
- My go-to children’s book is The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis.
- My favorite childhood memory is going to national parks with my family every summer.
- Growing up, I was sure I would be a daycare owner.
- My first job was a minimum wage worker at Taco Bueno.
- My dream job is teaching English and writing on the side.
- I like to spend my free time reading and attending family or church game and movie nights.
- The destination at the top of my travel bucket list is London.
- The literary place I’d most like to visit is Narnia.
- If I could move anywhere in the world, I’d live in The Swiss Alps.
- If I was stranded on a desert island, the three things I would bring with me are a Bible, a machete, and a lifestraw/water purifier of some kind (assuming “boat,” “plane,” and other means of escape are not acceptable answers).
- The one song I could listen to on repeat is “I Want It That Way” by Backstreet Boys.
- The best gift I ever received was a bookcase that opens on hinges to a hidden room.
- The best gift I’ve ever given is a year of Disney+ for my family.
- If you find me in the kitchen, I’m typically whipping up Kraft mac and cheese.
- If I could try any food from a book or series, it would be that massive Capitol buffet from The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins (I know it’s an image of the Capitol’s opulence, but still . . . ).
- The author (dead or alive) I’d most like to spend a day with is Mark Twain.
