Meet Allison Furse

Allison Furse is the Associate Student Representative for the Far Western Region of Sigma Tau Delta, and also serves as the President of her local chapter, Alpha Pi Epsilon, at Dixie State University in St. George Utah. She is currently a senior at DSU studying professional and technical writing with a minor in marketing. When she’s not reading, writing, posting book reviews online, or hanging out with her four younger sisters, you can typically find her waving around her sword and pretending she’s the protagonist of a young adult fantasy novel.

6. The best gift I’ve ever received was a trip to Walt Disney World with my family.
7. My nickname in high school was Frizz.
8. If you find me in the kitchen, I’m typically whipping up Spaghetti.
9. I’m both a reader and a writer.
10. The best paper title I ever created was: I suck at paper titles.
11. The literary place I’d most like to visit is Regency or Victorian Era London.
12. My dream job is to be a publicist at a major publishing house.
13. An author I truly admire is Brandon Sanderson and Leigh Bardugo.
14. My go-to children’s book is You Are Special by Max Lucado.
15. The destination at the top of my travel bucket list is Greece or England.
16. My favorite part of being an English Major is being able to learn more about literature and language and interact with like-minded people.
17. The last book I read was The Cheat Sheet by Sarah Adams (and it was AMAZING!).
18. My favorite book series is The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson.

20. In 10 years, I’m betting that the big trend in literature will be more neuro-divergent representation across the board.

22. The last book I bought was Falling for Your Enemy by Emma St. Clair, and I have read it.
23. The celebrity I’d most like to spend a day with is Queen Victoria (she counts as a celebrity, right?).
24. If I could move anywhere in the world, I’d live in London or New York City.
